I am Hannah Pirnie, founder of Home Joburg. I become your local partner in Johannesburg, project-managing your relocation from our first planning conversation until 90 days after you arrive. I keep track of the moving parts, join you for the moments that matter and remain available on WhatsApp in between.
Schools, property viewings, applications, introductions, practical setup and those inevitable first-week surprises: you have one person who already knows your family, your priorities and what needs to happen next.
The service starts from US$5,500. I work with only a small number of families at a time, so each move receives genuinely personal support.
How is Global Executive Concierge different from advice?
My other relocation services give you my advice, local knowledge and support at specific points in your move.
Global Executive Concierge gives you my time, continuity and oversight across the whole relocation.
There are no consulting days to ration and no hourly meter running. If a school asks a question you are unsure how to answer, send it to me. If a lease clause does not look right, send it to me. If you arrive and the house has no hot water, call me.
The real value is not simply a longer list of services. It is having one person who knows the full story, keeps everything moving and makes sure you never have to explain your situation twice.
What does Global Executive Concierge include?
- Schools, from shortlist to confirmed place. I help with school choices, appointments, assessments and applications, keeping the process moving at every stage.
- Finding the right home. We choose areas around your family’s real daily life, arrange suitable viewings and consider the details that are difficult to understand from overseas.
- Property and lease support. I help you navigate offers, paperwork, security questions and the practicalities of moving into your new home.
- Introductions to your new community. Where possible, I connect you with families from your school or neighbourhood so that you and your children arrive already knowing a few friendly faces.
- Airport collection and first-day orientation. I meet you when you arrive and help you through those first practical hours in Johannesburg.
- Everyday setup. Banking, insurance, vehicles, mobile phones and the other jobs that can otherwise take weeks to untangle.
- Trusted specialist introductions. This includes visa and international tax advisers from my own network. I brief them on your circumstances before you speak, so you are not starting again from the beginning.
- Your first 90 days in Johannesburg. Once the boxes are unpacked, the real questions begin. I remain available while your family finds its feet, establishes routines and starts to feel at home.
Who is Global Executive Concierge for?
This service is for families whose relocation has enough moving parts that coordination has become the real challenge.
You may have children at different school stages, two demanding careers to manage or a partner carrying most of the move alone. Perhaps the timing is tight, you are making decisions from overseas or the cost of choosing the wrong school, suburb or property would be difficult to undo.
It also works well for corporate HR and mobility teams relocating a senior employee, particularly when a smooth family transition is essential to the success of the assignment.
Who may not need it?
If you are naturally organised, planning well in advance and mainly need help understanding Johannesburg’s schools or suburbs, this may be more support than you need. The free Johannesburg Relocation Guide is a good place to start.
A Discovery Session may be enough to give you a clear direction. You can then add individual Relocation Days if you would like me alongside you for school visits, property viewings or practical setup.
I would much rather help you choose the right level of support than sell you a service you do not need.
How does Global Executive Concierge work?
- We begin with a qualification call. This is complimentary and gives us both the chance to understand your move, what support you need and whether I am the right person to help.
- I create the plan. We agree on the priorities, responsibilities, timeline and level of support before you commit.
- I help manage the move. From schools and housing to appointments, applications and practical setup, I keep track of what needs to happen and when.
- I remain alongside you after arrival. Your support continues until 90 days after you land, giving you a familiar person to call while Johannesburg becomes home.
If you have already paid for a Discovery Session, the full fee is credited towards your Concierge service.
Any Relocation Days you have already booked will also be folded into the package rather than charged on top. You can begin with a smaller service without losing that investment if you later decide you would like more comprehensive support.
Why work with Hannah Pirnie?
I moved to Johannesburg with my husband’s job sixteen years ago, ready for an adventure but with no idea how much there was to work out.

I am also a registered Property Practitioner with eXp Realty South Africa. When your relocation becomes a property search, I can support you through the whole process rather than handing you over to someone new.

Your final fee depends on the complexity of the move: the number and ages of your children, the school and property support required, your timeline and whether the search covers several parts of Johannesburg.
We agree on the fee during your qualification process, before you commit. Everything will be clear from the outset, with no unexpected hourly charges along the way.
Any Discovery Session fee you have already paid will be credited in full.
Any Relocation Days already booked will also be included within the package rather than added on top.

Relocation Days are ideal when you need hands-on help with a specific part of your move, such as visiting schools or viewing homes.
The Concierge service covers the full journey. There are no days to ration and you can contact Hannah between appointments whenever a question, decision or problem arises.
Does my Discovery Session fee come off the price?
Yes. Any Discovery Session fee you have already paid is credited in full towards the Concierge service.
Can my employer pay for the service?
Yes. Hannah can work directly with your employer, HR department or relocation management company and provide the documentation they require.
Does Hannah give visa, tax or legal advice?
No. Home Joburg does not give immigration, tax or legal advice. Hannah introduces you to visa and international tax advisers from her own network and briefs them on your circumstances first, so you are not starting again from the beginning.
Why does it begin with a qualification call?
Every family and every relocation is different. The call allows Hannah to understand your circumstances, recommend the right support and confirm the fee before you make any commitment.
Because Hannah accepts only a small number of Concierge clients at a time, it also ensures that she has the capacity to give your move the attention it deserves.
