Thinking of selling your Johannesburg home?
Home Joburg sells beautiful homes in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs to local, international and corporate buyers. Hannah Pirnie, an eXp Realty South Africa agent with 16 years of lived expat experience in Johannesburg, takes on a small number of homes at a time and handles every sale personally.
Thank you.
I’ve received your enquiry and I’ll be in touch personally to talk through the options for your home and the approach I’d recommend.

What do homeowners ask before selling with Home Joburg?
The questions I hear most often, answered straight.
What does Home Joburg do for homeowners selling in Johannesburg?
I look after your sale from the first conversation to transfer. It starts with an honest market appraisal. Then comes professional photography, videography and social content, so your listing sells the feeling of living there before a buyer sets foot inside. Your home is listed through eXp Realty South Africa and shared with my network of relocating and corporate buyers. I manage the viewings, negotiate the offers, handle FICA and coordinate the transfer.
Who buys the homes you sell?
Local buyers, plus a steady flow of international, expat and corporate families relocating to Johannesburg. Many of them find me through the relocation side of my business, so I often know what they need, which suburbs they love and how ready they are to buy before they ever see your home.
Which Johannesburg suburbs do you sell homes in?
I focus on the northern suburbs: Parkhurst, Parkwood, Hyde Park, Westcliff, Dainfern, Steyn City and Waterfall among them. If your home is nearby, tell me about it and I’ll give you an honest answer on whether I’m the right agent for it.
How do you work out what my home is worth?
On the appraisal visit I look at your home, what similar homes nearby have actually sold for and how buyers are behaving right now. You get a realistic price range and timeline, backed by evidence. If it’s different from what you were hoping for, I’ll tell you, because sitting on the market for 18 months at the wrong price is far more painful than getting it right at the start.
Do you take on every home?
No. I only take on a small number of homes at a time, so every seller gets my full attention. I work with homes I’m proud to show and owners who are open to honest market feedback. If we’re not the right fit, I’ll say so kindly and early.
What if I’ve already spoken to other agents?
That’s completely normal, and I’d rather know up front. Tick the right box on the form. If your home is currently on mandate with another agent, I’ll respect that and we can talk again when it ends.
What happens after I send the form?
I read every enquiry myself and give you a call for a short chat about your home and your plans. If it looks like a good fit, we book an appraisal visit. I work on a sole mandate basis only. Many of my buyers are corporate clients who expect discretion, and a sole mandate means your home is presented by one agent, consistently and carefully, rather than by several at once. FICA documents are only needed if we sign a mandate, and sending the form puts you under no obligation.
